Yesterday’s 90-minute House of Commons adjournment debate on cycling was wrapped up with a closing speech from Derek Twigg, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport. He praised the bicycle industry funded Bike It cycle-to-school scheme, commended the way the various cycling bodies are now working together, and said he will be hosting a meeting of ministers next week to discuss "how cycling can help to deliver a range of Government targets across Whitehall."
