Bike It is the bike industry funded cycling promotion scheme which aims to encourage school children to take to two wheels. The scheme has just doubled in size and appointed a former police chief inspector as manager. The podcast kicks off with inspiration from Bike It officer Vicki Hill.

Vicki Hill is the Bike It officer for Yorkshire. The podcast – recorded at last week’s AGM of the Bicycle Association – also features Mike Madin, the new Bike It manager, former police chief inspector of Derbyshire; and Paul Osborne, the safe routes to school co-ordinator at Sustrans.

The Bike It scheme is co-ordinated by Sustrans and co-funded by Cycling England and the British bicycle industry via the Bike Hub levy.

The podcast can be downloaded to iPods and other MP3 players or can be listened to online via your web browser. You’ll need to have QuickTime installed. The online version features photographs and clickable links.
