More than 20 distributors to bring over 50 brands to Silverstone

Preview: The Bike Place trade show

Now in its third year, The Bike Place show places 20 cycle market distributors at
Silverstone from January 27th through 29th. BikeBiz talks to the organisers about show exclusives, cycling celeb guests and more…

The show’s expanded again this year – is the floor space filled and if not, who’s the contact for last minute exhibition bookings if available?
You’re right it has expanded, very much so in fact. Visitors will find the largest ever range of cycling goods and accessories under the Silverstone roof. We can still make room for more exhibitors, but space is now very much at a premium due to the great response we’ve had from exhibitors, so please be quick. The best man to speak to is Sean Reynolds and he can be contacted via email at seanr@surf-sales.com

Know of any show exclusives of offers to be exclusive to visitors?
All of the show’s exhibitors will be showcasing their very latest 2013 product and a few brand new products will also be appearing for the first time. We will be sharing our exhibitors’ offers with registered visitors ahead of the show, but please trust us when we say, they are truly not to be missed. The Bike Place Show is about giving retailers the best access to some exciting new and established brands, as well as offering them some unmissable commercial benefits.
NRG4 will debut track pumps from Unich, as well as new cranksets from Aerozine, set to retail for £100.

Is the show catered?
We have decided to extend our stay at Silverstone from two days last year to three this year. This modern and impressive venue does offer some excellent catering facilities and as such food and drink is available to visitors.

For the information of visitors, what are the nearest transport links?
Silverstone’s central location and ease of access from the major road and rail networks make it an ideal venue for this kind of show.
It is approximately 90 minutes north of central London and 60 minutes south of Birmingham. Road access is exceptionally easy along the A43 dual carriageway from either the M40 or M1.
By public transport, the nearest stations are Northampton, Banbury or Milton Keynes, both of which offer fast connections to destinations throughout the country.

Anything else to add?
The Bike Place Show was started in 2010 to offer retailers a destination show where they can see and experience a wide range of brands from a large number of distributors. In three short years the show has grown to now featuring over 20 distributors with over 50 brands on show.
Visitors to the show will be joined by some top names from the cycling world including world class riders such as Steve Peat and UK cycling journalists, among others.
Full details can be found at www.thebikeplaceshow.co.uk where you can also register to attend.
