Head Mechanic

Website 700

700 are a premium bicycle retailer building dream bikes for our customers. We are looking for a dedicated, free-thinking problem solver who is well versed in modern road and gravel bike technologies. We are not a corporate monster, but a tight knit team with and honest, no nonsense approach to the industry.

We’re looking for a mechanic with a desire to take ownership of the day-to-day running and future expansion of the workshop. A versatile, confident, skilled and affable individual with a real passion for the work.

More than that – we’re looking for someone to be an integral part of the future of the business. We’d like you to get stuck in and be able to turn your hand to chat about bikes and the sport as a whole; someone with ideas about how things can be done better!

Responsibilities

Primarily mechanics, from bike builds and servicing with a view to optimising workshop output and who is comfortable and competent working on premium road and gravel bikes. Detail oriented – a mechanic who treats everyone’s bikes like they belong to a pro!
We are a small team and versatility is welcome and encouraged.

Qualifications

Experience, experience, experience!

We understand that there is no substitute for this. A qualification is helpful as it tells us you are able to perform at a certain standard – but we’ll take 5 years on the spanners over a freshly printed Cytech certificate. We’re here to nurture too and if you have the attitude – we can accommodate.

Applicants will ideally be conscientious, good communicators able to work independently with excellent time management and organisational skills.

Even if you’re not sure if this is for you – we’d love to chat.

Maybe you’ve had enough of your current role, feel undervalued, you are looking for more responsibility or just a switch-up. We are looking for the right person and we can flex to accommodate.

To apply for this job email your details to oracle@7hundred.co.uk.
