Following the success of its first year, Cycle Expo Yorkshire is getting the wheels in motion for its 2019 show as an officially affiliated event of the 2019 UCI Road World Championships.
Taking place at Harrogate’s Yorkshire Event Centre (YEC) on 21st-22nd September, it is the official expo of the 2019 UCI Road World Championships and will serve as a host venue of both the registration and finish line of the official sportive.
With record-breaking figures expected, the UCI Road World Championships and cycle expo will cement the region’s position as the undisputed capital of UK cycling. With all races set to finish in Harrogate, this year’s expo will promise a feast of entertainment and leading exhibitors for spectators to enjoy.
Based on feedback from last year’s inaugural event, the 2019 expo will feature more opportunities for visitors to get involved, from ‘Have a Go Hero’ hill climbs to workshop challenges and a new MTB flow trail. With extended kids’ zones and on and off road demo routes, there promises to be something for cycling enthusiasts of all levels and disciplines.
Backed by some of the biggest names in cycling, the expo is set to welcome BMX champ Matti Hemmings, World Trials Champion Jack Carthy and YouTube roller sensation Ruby Isaacs, all returning to wow the crowds with their skills and stunts.
There will be a range of exhibitors, from high profile companies to boutique brands, showcasing the best in cycling equipment, tours and bikes, including some returning favourites from last year.
This year, Cycle Expo Yorkshire at 2019 UCI Road World Championships has enlisted the help of freelance writer, bike tester and YouTuber Guy Kesteven as head of bike to build on the success of 2018 and elevate the 2019 show into a bigger and more exciting expo.
