The retail brands division of the Tandem-owned company has reported a very bouyant first year’s trading. The direct-to-the dealer side of the company is to be expanded, and there are some new brands for 2002

Two Wheel Trading reports positive trading

Simon Ford, sales manager of the retail brands division, and who has been running it since its formation at the end of November last year said:

“We are pleased to announce the expansion of their sales force with the appointment of two new area sales managers. These positions are newly created posts to cope with both demand from our customers and the expansion of TWT’s brands portfolio.

“Across TWT, new and exclusive brands are to be added during the early part of 2002 to benefit both our dealer direct and wholesale divisions. To further improve customer service, internal staffing will also be increased with particular attention being paid to technical help and sales support. These decisions follow a positive year at TWT which we expect to continue into 2002.”

The retail brands division was just Ford for the first six months but then a Northern rep was added. Now two reps for the south are to be appointed soon. No names as yet because one is currently working for another cycle trade company and will not be handing in his notice until January and the other is working out his notice.

The new brands are also hush-hush until January. One of the brands is returning to the UK after a long absence, the others are changing distributors.
