Taichung Bike Week 2026 will return from September 15 to 18, with 260 companies confirmed across 311 booths at three official hotel venues in Taichung.
The appointment-led B2B event will bring together bicycle brands, buyers, manufacturers and supply chain partners at The Splendor Hotel Taichung, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung and Tempus Hotel Taichung.
Organisers said the 2026 edition comes as the global bicycle market continues to face rising costs and changing procurement strategies, with brands and distributors taking a more cautious approach to product development and supply chain planning.
Despite those pressures, Taichung Bike Week said sourcing discussions have become more focused, with buyers heading to the event with clearer objectives around product development, component sourcing, manufacturing capability and alternative supplier options.
The official event website, www.tbw.com.tw, includes exhibitor profiles, product information, hotel venues, floor details and showroom locations, allowing buyers to plan visits before the show and continue using supplier information afterwards.
Business meetings focus
Unlike larger trade shows that focus heavily on visitor numbers, Taichung Bike Week is built around scheduled business meetings between buyers and suppliers.
According to exhibitor feedback, some companies have already arranged more than 30 meetings across the four-day event.
Taichung Bike Week said the level of pre-event scheduling indicates that brands have not stopped looking for opportunities, but are becoming more strategic in choosing products and partners.
Three hotel venues
The Splendor Hotel Taichung will host 139 companies across 175 booths, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung will feature 80 companies and 84 booths, and Tempus Hotel Taichung will accommodate 41 companies across 52 booths.
Organisers said the hotel showroom format reflects the concentration of Taiwan’s bicycle supply chain in the central region, enabling international buyers to meet suppliers, assess products and discuss technical requirements within a compact schedule.
Industry programme
The 2026 programme will also include events covering sustainability, international regulation, artificial intelligence, market trends and cross-sector collaboration.
The Global Bicycle Sustainability Summit, organised by the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center, will take place on September 14. Representatives from Cycling Industries Europe, Bike Europe and SGS will discuss topics including the European Green Deal, Digital Product Passports, battery regulations and supply chain due diligence.
On September 17, the Bicycle Supply Chain AI Market Insights Industry Forum, organised by the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, will examine AI-powered market analysis, AI Agent applications and enterprise digital transformation.
Later the same day, the Taiwan Bicycle Association will host the first global information session for the 2027 “towards tomorrow – European Bike Show” in Taichung, with the German Bicycle Industry Association set to introduce the show’s plans and business model.
TBA will also organise morning rides from September 15 to 17, while the Taichung Bike Week Social, organised by Anchor, will take place on the evening of September 15.
Organisers said the wider programme is designed to help the global bicycle industry understand changing market conditions, connect with partners and explore new business opportunities.
