Restrap appoints John Hollier as sales agent for south west UK

Restrap, the Leeds-based bikepacking brand, has announced the appointment of John Hollier as a new sales agent for the south west of England

Hollier has been covering the south west of England and Wales for various companies as a rep/sales agent for more than 14 years, including stints with Paliagap, Madison/Sportline, and the last two years with Velotech Services, Oneway Distribution, Back Street Distribution, Stimulus Sport, and Fiftyone bikes.

With a 30-year tenure in the industry, Hollier has accumulated experience in various roles, from working in shops to handling warranty and telesales at Paligpap.

The majority of his time has been spent on the road in sales, alongside co-organising events under the Flanrou brand.

Cycling has remained a passion for him throughout his career.

Representing brands such as Ere Research (Oneway Distribution), Rotor, C-Bear, Cycling Ceramic (Velotech Services), Fairdale, Sunday, BSD (Back Street Distribution), Custom Clothing through Stimulas Sport, and Fiftyone bikes in Ireland.

Appointing a new sales representative will give Restrap’s south west UK trade accounts a direct relationship and point of contact with the brand as it moves forward and help it fulfill the demand from retailers across the UK.

Following his appointment, Hollier commented: “I’m really excited to be representing the Restrap brand, and putting a UK made product in front of retailers and consumers that is competitive against imported brands.

“Restrap is a market leader in the bikepacking category and their support of grassroots is something that resonates with me personally.”

Restrap specialises in making technical bikepacking gear for all kinds of riding and bikepacking.

The brand is known for manufacturing some of the market’s best functional, durable, sustainable bags and equipment for traveling by bike, all completely in-house in the UK.

Long lasting luggage and accessories made in a sustainable way has been at the heart of everything Restrap does since 2010, when Restrap was born out of the need for pedal straps that would never break, made from recycled seatbelt.

The brand still makes these in the same way, and the product range has now expanded to cover all aspects of cycling, bikepacking and outdoor equipment.
