Lezyne has released its first portable electric pump called the E-Drive, a compact, high-performance electric pump with a ‘first-of-a-kind replaceable battery,’ designed and developed entirely in-house.
The brand says the E-Drive features a custom-engineered motor that runs cooler and lasts up to four times longer than standard portable electric pumps. Combining industrial-grade materials with extensive prototyping and lab testing, the device has been built to provide unmatched inflation power and long-term reliability.
“After testing all of the current e-pumps on the market, we knew our engineering team could build a better, more sustainable electric pump,” said Terry Cooke, Vice President of Engineering at Lezyne. “With our new E-Drive, you’re getting superior quality, safer operation, and a longer-lasting, high-performance e-pump.”
According to Lezyne, the key to the E-Drive’s performance is an advanced thermal management system—refined through years of high-performance LED development, pairing a dedicated internal cooling fan with a CNC-machined aluminium heatsink extrusion and specialised low-friction technology. This optimised cooling integration safeguards the pressure sensor, improving accuracy, and eliminates the need for additional, bulky covers.
Powered by a high-capacity 750mAh battery, the E-Drive capably inflates up to six tyres on a single charge to a maximum pressure of 120 PSI (8.25 bar) and fills most tyres in under 90 seconds. Combined with fast USB-C charging, this means less downtime and more inflation power.
Said to offer a new standard for sustainability, the E-Drive features a fully user-replaceable battery design that allows riders to swap in a fresh cell to extend the product’s lifespan indefinitely.
For versatile connectivity, the unit uses a hose with Lezyne’s Multi-Chuck, which is compatible with Presta, Schrader, and Clik Valve* standards.
