UK-based nutrition company Huel has launched a new line of so-called ‘sport approved’ Huel Professional products.
The Professional line is a nutritionally complete powdered food that is routinely batch-tested and screened for banned substances, including those banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency by Informed-Sport, a quality assurance programme for sports nutrition products.
The launch of Huel Professional will allow Huel to offer it’s benefits to a wider market of professional athletes and those within the armed forces who are subjected to compulsory drug tests.
Co-founder of Huel Julian Hearn said: “We are excited to launch Huel Professional to the UK market. We noticed more and more athletes and those within the armed forces visiting our site and therefore it was important to be able to offer a product to those working in the professional field, a product they could trust. Since those within these professional services are responsible for what they consume, finding a product that does not contain any banned substances is of the utmost importance.
Since launching Huel in 2015, the brand has sold over eight million meals worldwide and launched into three new territories in 2017 – Germany, USA and Sweden.
