Extra UK expands brand team with Beighton appointment

Extra UK has further increased its team with the appointment of Matt Beighton as Topeak brand manager.

Beighton has more than 20 years experience within the cycle industry, spending the last seven years as product/brand manager for all of Madison’s own brand P&A (hardware) and Madison Bags. Before that, he worked selling on the road for Madison as an account manager for Midlands and Wales, spent two years as KTM bicycle’s UK agent and four years in brand management at Raleigh.

He said: “Having worked in the retail side of the industry for many years, I can recall selling the original Alien tools and JoeBlow track pumps in their droves in the late 90s and early 00s. I’m now looking forward to this new challenge of pushing the brand to the next level in the UK market place.”

The new addition further strengthens Extra’s marketing team, adding his focus and drive on Topeak, as well as Extra’s in-house brands through 2019 and into 2020.

Last month, Extra UK announced the distribution of Fast Forward Wheels (FFWD), and from 1st April, became the exclusive distributor for Abus, the German manufacturer of locks and helmets.
