DMT partners with and Decathlon Ford Racing Team

Italian shoe brand DMT will be on show at the most significant global mountain bike races this year, thanks to a new collaboration with the Decathlon Ford Racing Team.

Wearing DMT shoes, made by Diamant S.r.l., during the 2024 and 2025 seasons will be American champion Savilia Blunk, Belgian champion Emeline Detilleux, New Zealander and U23 world champion Samara Maxwell, Italian vice-champion Greta Seiwald, along with French riders Joshua Dubau, ranked fifth in the world, Maxime Marotte, XCC national champion, and Mathis Azzaro.

“I am delighted to welcome DMT as one of our partners for the 2024 and 2025 seasons,” said Samuel Roces, general manager of Decathlon Ford Racing Team.

“DMT brings extensive experience at the highest levels and offers products perfectly tailored to the needs of our athletes. Beyond delivering excellent race performance, we are pleased to support DMT in developing future products.”

The riders will be outfitted with the DMT KM0 model, which represents the pinnacle of DMT off-road shoe performance and innovation for the Verona-based company.

Featuring Knit technology, KM0 is a lightweight cross-country MTB shoe, with added traction thanks to Michelin Dual Compound lugs directly applied to the carbon sole. A dual BOA Fit System closure, and an integrated upper construction also mould to the feet of the rider for improved comfort.

“We are particularly proud of our partnership with Decathlon Ford Racing Team,” said Philippe Zecchetto, CEO of Diamant S.r.l.

“Joining forces with a team that has been a leader in the cross-country world for years will further elevate the DMT brand in terms of visibility and prestige, particularly within the off-road sector. Additionally, with this being an Olympic year, we are excited to see our shoes in action on the world stage.”

Decathlon Ford Racing Team is gearing up for the 2024 season, aiming to maintain its top position in the world rankings after an impressive performance last year.

With seven athletes (four female and three male), they’re ready to make their mark in the most anticipated XCC and XCO events, including the World Cup starting on April 12-14, in Brazil, the World Championships in Andorra (August 26 to September 1), and possibly the Olympic Games in Paris (July 28-29).

In the UK DMT Shoes are distributed by Chicken CycleKit.
