Brompton partners with Komoot for ‘Beyond the City’ campaign

Brompton, the UK bicycle manufacturer, has partnered with navigation and activity planning app, Komoot.

The two have teamed up to create the Brompton “Beyond the City” Collection, a series of official routes from multiple key European cities – designed to invite their respective communities to go beyond the city.

To begin with there will be 31 routes in nine countries and 18 cities available to ride, with riders being able to then add their own routes to the collection.

This partnership will be Europe-wide, and aims to celebrate the recent launch of the Brompton x Bear Grylls collection.

The bike, which will go on sale on Wednesday, September 13, is designed to “champion exploring the city and beyond”, outside a regular commute or weekend loop.

It is 6-speed, available in a Moss Green, Mushroom Grey and Adventure Orange finish, the bike features a Brooks C1 All Weather Saddle and Schwalbe Marathon Racer Tanwall tyres, and comes as standard with a special edition 17L backpack and 1L pouch that fit securely onto the the bike.

Shelly Pearce, global marketing director at Brompton, said:‘’We’re really excited to be launching this partnership with Komoot. We share a passion for adventure, and getting out into nature and exploring.

‘’Our new Brompton x Bear Grylls bike is the perfect fit for getting out of the city and finding new routes – something that our community across the world does every day.

‘’Seeing what routes are added to the collection in the coming weeks and months will be fantastic to see.’’
