Bristol start-up’s ‘design-centric’ bicycle mount goes on sale

Huxlo, a young Bristol-based design and build studio has launched its latest product, the MAURAD bicycle storage hanger.

Digitally designed, manufactured and hand-finished in the UK from from sustainable FSC approved timber, the mount is designed to hold an average adult sized bicycle.

MAURAD arrives as a flat-packed kit, ready for self-assembly. The units are precision cut and feature manufactured parts crafted so that all of the components fit together perfectly, forming a solid and durable mount. Huxlo has secured a local manufacturing partner in Bristol, with the capabilities to produce Maurad on mass to Huxlo’s specifications and high standards.

Every MAURAD is precision-manufactured in Bristol using state-of-the-art robotics prior to hand finishing. The brand has stated that the product is crafted from carefully selected materials that are sustainable and locally sourced. “Sustainable as standard is our motto,” commented founder and CEO at Huxlo Matthew Mew.
