USA P&A focused business has a new owner

Accell sells Seattle Bike Supply to Hawley-Lambert

USA P&A company Seattle Bike Supply (SBS) has been sold by Accell so the super group can ‘concentrate on its core business’ in the territory.

Hawley-Lambert is the new owner of SBS, which will also be taking on exclusive distribution rights for the USA and Canada for Accell’s accessory brand XLC. The sale will mean Accell’s turnover of P&A in the USA will fall around €15m, compared to 2015.

Accell is now to focus on own brands of bicycles and ‘related merchandising products’ in the USA.

“Bicycles are the core of our strategy in the United States and we are more committed than ever to focus on our bicycle brands Raleigh, Redline, Diamondback and I-Zip," said René Takens, CEO of Accell Group. "Hawley-Lambert has a strong history of distribution excellence in the United States and Canada in parts & accessories. We are convinced that Hawley-Lambert is the right choice to support SBS dealers and will be a great partner to the retailers who have supported us.”
