Head Technician – Cycle Workshop

As the Head Technician of one of our newest stores you will be responsible for managing the work which flows through the workshop, completing work on some of the highest quality bikes available. You will have the opportunity to help build a workshop environment and team in your own vision, playing a significant role in customer satisfaction and retention after the purchase of their new bike as well as servicing their current cycles. We operate an open workshop; successful candidates will be customer facing.

You will be a key part of the team and play a pivotal role in the production team; the creation of this role coincides with the launch of a new product. Join the Offcamber Cycles Team, We’re growing and have an exciting opportunity to join us. Offcamber are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Cycle mechanic to join our busy workshop on an initial temporary contract, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent.
For this role you’ll need to have experience servicing and repairing a wide range of non-electric and electric bicycles. Be confident diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Provide excellent customer service and advice. Work well both independently and as part of a small team. Knowledge of wheel building.
We are looking for a Cycle Technician to work 39hrs a week over 5 days to include Saturday and Sundays on a rota basis. Cytech 2/3 equivalent qualification desirable or previous extensive workshop experience would be taken into consideration.
Roles and requirements include knowledge of electrical bike services and diagnostics. Service and repair of cycles. New bike assembly. Experience working with hydraulics and suspension. General workshop duties. Delivering customer service. Computer literate and passionate about all things cycling.
