Distributor sees £3.35 million in sales in September – topping own best-ever total

Zyro smashes monthly turnover record

Yorkshire-based distributor Zyro has set a new monthly sales record, turning over £3.35 million in September.

Zyro cited demand for almost half of its portfolio as a key factor behind the results – with Altura, Ashima, Fenwick’s, Genuine Innovation, MKS, PowerBar, Rixen-Kaul, Tortec and White Lightning among the best-performing brands.

The firm revealed to BikeBiz that the £3.35 million total is a 30 per cent increase on September 2008, with Zyro seeing a 40 per cent increase in demand for P&A product.

“September has always been a particularly strong month for our apparel and lights, but £3.35 million is our best-ever monthly sales record, which has given us all yet another reason to celebrate our success this year,” enthused Zyro director Simon Ellison.

“The even better news is that forward sales for October look set to mirror our achievement last month, with Altura, Cateye, Lupine and Minoura already well ahead of our growth forecasts. This has led us to now increase our own orders for stock to ensure we will satisfy all the demand.”
