Wiggle updates app to include events and Black Friday previews

Online retail giant and cycle sports retailer Wiggle has launched an update to its app, which includes access to an events catalogue page, and “sneak peaks” of the brand’s Black Friday offerings.

The new Wiggle 2017 events catalogue was recently released to help customers search and browse events in a simple and fast format whilst on-the-go. The update allows users to view the busy events schedule by location, date and sport discipline on both Apple and Android devices.

Results can be viewed via a list facility or an interactive map on which users are able to save the chosen event to their calendar and refine the search or purchase their event entry. If no events meet the criteria, the app will make suggestions for alternative events.

Adding to the exclusivity of the app for users, Wiggle has also announced that those who use it on Android or Apple devices will be given a preview of the upcoming Black Friday deals 24 hours before general sale.

The Wiggle app was launched a year ago, and in that time has registered over 250,000 unique downloads. It now accounts for 17 per cent of Wiggle mobile sessions in the UK.

Kate Walder, customer marketing manager at Wiggle, said: “The app is now an important part of the Wiggle landscape, and not just as a shop on the go. It also provides a topical news facility, together with innovative and useful content that provide strong user engagement.

“We are also constantly looking to improve the app and the new update provides more opportunities for getting our customers to the good stuff quicker as well as rewarding App users”
