7mesh appoints Andrew Sherry as vice president of sales

7mesh has announced that Andrew Sherry has been appointed as vice president of sales and will oversee global revenue for the brand in all channels.

The newly created role expands the resources dedicated to growing the business while also acting as a homecoming for Sherry, who previously led the development of 7mesh’s western Canadian dealer network as an independent sales agent.

Sherry takes a wealth of experience to 7mesh, most recently as the senior merchant for Cycling at national retail chain Mountain Equipment Company (MEC).

Having spent time on both the brand and retailer sides, he adds perspective on brand-retailer partnerships, and his familiarity with the product line, brand, and team will allow him to get up to speed immediately.

“7mesh is a wholesale-led business, and Andrew joins us at a very exciting time”, says Tyler Jordan, 7mesh CEO.

“With several important collections and technologies launching in the coming seasons, we’re strengthening our retailer partnerships for the growth ahead.”

Currently based in Cumberland, BC, Sherry begins his role at the 7mesh head office in Squamish where he will re-immerse himself in 7mesh operations and culture.

Sherry joins 7mesh’s leadership team, sitting alongside John Zopfi, general manager EMEA and APAC, who took on extra responsibility as interim global wholesale leader while a review and reorganisation of leadership roles was completed.

“I’m thrilled to rejoin 7mesh,” said Sherry.

“It’s wonderful to reconnect with so many old friends, and I’m looking forward to being part of its international growth and expansion.”

Identifying his immediate priorities, Sherry sees building relationships with existing retailers and expanding 7mesh’s wholesale go to market programme as top of his agenda.

He added: “Our retailers are the gateway to our brand, and the key to educating consumers about our products. I’m focused on ensuring that we provide unwavering support to them.”
