Fazua delivers a raft of updates to Ride 50 firmware

Fazua has rolled out a host of feature advancements to the Ride 50 firmware, with update bundle v.029 available for all systems (Evation, Trail, Street).

With this latest update, riders can expect new features and improvements focused on further enhancing the ride experience.

Specialist retailers will also benefit from bundle v.029, with the update to the Fazua Toolbox Advanced offering advanced service options.

Speaking about the latest update, Florian von Wurmb-Seibel, chief technology officer at Porsche eBike Performance comments: “By introducing the Boost function and other improvements, we are living up to our role as pioneers of light e-bike drives with the Fazua Ride 50 system. We are also continuing to offer our customers an unparalleled riding experience.”

Update bundle v.029 overview:

Boost function

The unique to Fazua Boost function is now available for Ride 50 Evation. This allows riders to use the maximum motor power (350 W) for four seconds from a standstill, or for 12 seconds while riding.

Trail and Street riders will find that the Boost function is, as a result of the update, even more sensitive and powerful. Reactivation extends the duration of the Boost function by 12 seconds.

Optimized handling

The update significantly optimizes the handling of the Fazua Ride 50 systems.

Thanks to improved torque processing and the optimized algorithms, the motor’s support is noticeably more powerful, even when pedalling at an easy-going cadence.

  • The rider experiences immediate and smooth support, even when riding in challenging and changing conditions.
  • The motor responds rapidly and dynamically to the rider’s pedalling, guaranteeing maximum control and riding fun.

Shortened standby time

The standby time is shortened for more efficient battery use, leaving more resources available for the powerful Boost function and optimized handling.

Improved LED brightness

Fazua reports it has also made significant improvements in terms of user-friendliness. The sensors in variants B, bX and fX of the remote control now respond even more sensitively to changing light conditions – for improved LED brightness and even better readability.

Calibration of the torque sensor

One highlight of the Toolbox update:

  • Riders have the option of calibrating their bike’s torque sensor, and thereby optimising their riding experience.

Improved fault diagnostics

  • By overwriting old messages in the fault memory, the Fazua Toolbox Advanced displays an unlimited number of new entries.
  • The filter function also allows specialist retailers to read the error messages in a more targeted manner, which makes diagnostics far easier.

Motor responsiveness

The improved algorithms identify the riding situation and intelligently adapt the drive behaviour.

Here, the “Reactivity” parameter has been removed from the Fazua Toolbox Advanced for retailers, making the Customizer even more user-friendly.

How to update Fazua Firmware

The new firmware with Boost function for even more riding fun and other improvements is now available for all Fazua Ride 50 systems and can be updated using the Fazua Toolbox.

In the UK Fazua is supported by a distribution partnership with Upgrade Bikes.
