Wiggle CEO comments on Beaumont’s record attempt

New Wiggle CEO Will Kernan has voiced his continuing support for Mark Beaumont’s round-Britain training ride.

Wiggle staff rode out from their headquarters in Portsmouth to greet Baumont after completing 204 miles of the first leg of his journey, taking place from Dover to Southampton. As part of his training, Baumont is riding the circumference of Britain in 15 days, simulating the 240 miles a day he will need to complete the record.

Kernan commented: “It was fantastic to be able to get out as a company and greet Mark on the first leg of his journey with our mini Wiggle peloton. Mark is truly inspirational to all of us here at Wiggle; a true adventurer in a modern world pushing the limits of mind and body. We’re delighted to be supporting him & wish him well in his latest quest.”

Wiggle is supporting Baumont’s around the world in 80 days record cycling attempt, providing him with all his on-the-bike nutrition, components and outdoor equipment. He will be burning through 8,000 calories a day.
