Thrills without spills
The bike’s short stem and custom Whyte short offset fork keep steering lively for tearing through the trees but the overall geometry is reassuringly stable so even new riders can carve turns and ride rough sections like they’ve done it for years.
We’ve also lavished the same great attention to detail on the spec as we have the frame and fork to ensure the only kicks kids will get from riding their Whyte Secta 24 is the buzz of fun, freedom and self-belief that comes from mountain biking.
Â
Fantastically light
The Whyte Secta 24’s lightweight multi-butted aluminium frame uses a purpose-built tubeset (not cut-down adult tubes) to reduce weight, making climbs and long rides easier and more enjoyable for young riders.
The fully rigid fork is also significantly lighter (than a suspension fork) and the lower overall weight makes the bike much easier for small riders to handle, accelerate and climb with, boosting enjoyment and promoting positive riding skills and experiences.

Â
Small but perfectly formed
Saddle, brake levers and cranks are all sized ideally for early riders. Eight speed Shimano gears are flawlessly smooth for easy climbing, and fast rolling but grippy-when-it matters Kenda tyres make climbing the hills to get those thrills as easy as possible. Powerful disc brakes with junior levers mean no runaway wrecks and high-volume, low-pressure tyres flow over trouble without skipping to inspire comfort and confidence on off-road tracks.
Brilliant fit, perfect flow
24in wheels front and rear ensure the best, most proportionate bike fit and help deliver a balanced and trail-smoothing ride for smaller riders. Wide, high volume 2.3in tyres also enhances comfort, grip and confidence on rough trails and tracks by smoothing out bumps and vibrations (better than narrower, lower volume tyres). They can also be run at lower pressures for an even more cushioned ride.
