Wahoo extends sponsorship of OVO Energy Tour of Britain and OVO Energy Women’s Tour

Wahoo has renewed its partnership with Britain’s leading professional cycle races, the OVO Energy Tour of Britain and the OVO Energy Women’s Tour.

Continuing as official training and cycle computer partner for the tour series, the OVO Energy Women’s Tour and the OVO Energy Tour of Britain, Wahoo has become the official sponsor of the Combativity award, now named the ‘Wahooligan Combativity Award’. Wahoo’s portfolio of cycling partnerships already includes Team INEOS, Team Katusha Alpecin, BORA-hansgrohe and WNT-Rotor Pro Cycling.

Wahoo’s VP of marketing Colin Eustace said: “We are thrilled to continue our sponsorship of The OVO Energy Tour of Britain and The OVO Energy Women’s Tour. This year we have elected to sponsor the Combativity Award as it ties in perfectly with the Wahooligan ethos and its community. At Wahoo, we feel the award shows exactly what it means to be a Wahooligan.”

OVO Energy Tour of Britain and Women’s Tour race director Mick Bennett said: “It’s great to have an innovative, internationally recognised cycling brand supporting both men’s and women’s cycling in Britain. Wahoo’s passion and excitement for the sport makes it a natural fit for our combativity award; we look forward to celebrating and rewarding the courageous performances of riders in both the OVO Energy Tour of Britain and OVO Energy Women’s Tour this year.”

Last year’s OVO Energy Tour of Britain Combativity Awards were won by Matthew Holmes and Maaike Boogaard in the OVO Energy Tour Of Britain and the OVO Energy Women’s Tour respectively. The OVO Energy Women’s Tour will take place between 10th June and 15th June 2019. The OVO Energy Tour of Britain will take place between 8th September and 15th September 2019.
