Vulpine expands with ex-Rapha and Timberland hires

Just a year and a half on from launching, Vulpine has more than doubled its resources, appointing four new staff.

Founder Nick Hussey said of the expansion: “James, Jools and I are dog tired trying to keep up with demand, run the company day to day and create designs and products in advance. I knew I had to get staff in as fast as I
could get the best and ‘right’ people. This time last year it was just me and Philip. Now there’s seven of us. I love personnel management and developing people, so its a real joy for me. Especially to build a team from scratch. The prerequisites are that they have to passionate, kind and hard working. After that, I avoid looking at CVs too much.”

First of all, Isobelle Rudman joins from Timberland as product manager. Isobelle has huge experience with Musto, One True Saxon and Fred Perry and will bring manufacturing and product design expertise in, as Vulpine expands the range at a pace.

Jon Knight, previously long-standing customer service manager at Rapha, joins as service manager at Vulpine. Jon was a bike courier for many years before joining Rapha and will bring huge knowledge and enthusiasm to help customers with their queries. Jon joined on Monday, straight after returning from honeymoon with his new wife Clare.

Jess Duffy, a well known bike polo player, courier and Kinoko Cycles (Vulpine stockist) sales assistant/mechanic and Vulpine model joins part time as events manager. She will help founder Nick Hussey with the organisation of Vulpine Cycling Fetes and their largest event yet, the soon to be announced Vulpine Cyclogames.

Finally, Vulpine is currently taking applications for it’s operations assistant role, working directly with Operations Manager and first employee Jools Walker, ITV4’s The Cycle Show presenter and Velo City Girl cycling style blogger. Applications close on October the 21st.

Vulpine has just launched an extensive Autumn/Winter 100 per cent merino wool range. All garments are now made in men’s and women’s cuts.
