'Fidlock' system patented by protective gear manufacturer

VIDEO: O’neal introduces magnetic helmet connection

Protective gear manufacturer O’neal has revealed what it says is the world’s first magnetic lock system for its full face helmets.

The design, which has now been patented, was thought up in response to riders asking to be able to remove helmets with gloves still on and, secondly, to prevent finger pinching associated with traditional clips.

The fury RL is currently the only model using the system, though the firm is likely to expand its usage going forwards.

O’neal products are distributed in the UK by Fli Distribution.
