Victory Chimp’s ‘Give Back Friday’ campaign raises £1057 for charity

Following its Give Back Friday campaign earlier in the month, Victory Chimp has revealed that the campaign raised £1057 for Marie Curie.

The event, which was created as a reaction to the Black Friday shopping holiday, featured donations from print sales and the acution of a signed Sean Kelly print, took place from Friday, November 24th to the 27th.

“I’m overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our customers during the inititative,” owner Ryan O’Reilly told BikeBiz.

In an official statement confirming the amount today, O’Reilly commented: “A massive thank you to all of you amazing Chimpeurs who snapped up a print this weekend and supported our Give Back Friday campaign. I’ve just totted up the orders and the final total from all online print sales and our signed Sean Kelly print auction is an incredible £1057.

“I chose this year’s charity in memory of my Granny, Letty O’Reilly who passed away earlier this year. With your support, we’ll be able to pay for 50 hours of vital nursing care for someone living with a terminal illness in their own home. Marie Curie Nurses provided invaluable support to my family in my Granny’s final weeks, so it means a lot to be able to return this kindness by helping other families when they need it most.”
