Just in time for the launch of the new Bosch HUB-Drive motor, VELO DE VILLE is introducing an e-bike for people who “want to enjoy the benefits of electric assistance without having to put up with unnecessary weight.” After all, especially in the city, it’s often not the ride itself that determines comfort, but what comes before and after: carrying the bike down to the basement, maneuvering it in the courtyard, or parking it in front of your apartment. With the new HUB-e, VELO DE VILLE demonstrates that electric assistance and lightness don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

As an anniversary model celebrating VELO DE VILLE’s 60th anniversary, the HUB-e represents a new generation of urban e-bikes. Designed for everyday use, it combines the benefits of electric assistance with exceptionally low weight—making precisely those moments easier that are often crucial in daily life. Available starting at just 19 kilograms, the HUB-e combines a comfortable riding position, wide tires, and modern drive technology into a complete package designed for hassle-free urban mobility.
Lightweight, yet powerful for everyday use
The HUB-e is powered by the new Bosch HUB motor in combination with the Bosch PowerTube battery (360 Wh). With 45 Nm of torque and up to 400 watts of power, the hub motor—weighing just around 2.3 kilograms—offers dynamic assistance for everyday urban life. At the same time, it integrates almost invisibly into the rear wheel hub, contributing to the bike’s low overall weight and clean design. Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth interface, the HUB-e can be seamlessly integrated into the Bosch Smart System.

The wide tires reliably absorb bumps and ensure a smooth ride even on cobblestones or rough sections of road. At the same time, the upright riding position provides good visibility in city traffic and enhances riding comfort on both short and long trips. With a maximum load capacity of 140 kilograms, there’s also plenty of room for groceries and extra luggage.
HUB-e XS: the more compact alternative
The new model family is rounded out by the HUB-e XS. This more compact version is designed for riders looking for a particularly maneuverable e-bike without having to compromise on comfort, features, or electric assistance.
Like the HUB-e, the HUB-e XS is available starting at 19 kilograms and is designed for a maximum gross weight of 140 kilograms. Available with a 26-inch Wave or 26-inch Diamond frame, it is particularly well-suited for dense city traffic, short trips, and any situation where maximum maneuverability is required. The HUB-e XS thus combines the lightness of the model family with high practicality for everyday use and comfortable electric assistance.
Lightweight at an Anniversary Price
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, VELO DE VILLE is offering both the HUB-e and the HUB-e XS at an exclusive special price of 2,499 euros. Interested parties can register without obligation via the HUB-e landing page; registration does not obligate you to purchase. Delivery will then be handled by VELO DE VILLE’s authorized retail partners.

VELO DE VILLE – Custom Made as a Philosophy
Every bicycle or pedelec should be a perfect fit for its rider. Individuality is not a trend; it is the spirit of the times that defines our generation. That is why VELO DE VILLE is dedicated to custom-made bikes. There are countless ways to configure the bikes—from the color down to details like the headlights or pedals. This custom-made principle, along with a love for detail and quality, continues to define the company and the philosophy of VELO DE VILLE to this day.
As a brand of AT Zweirad GmbH, VELO DE VILLE exclusively offers bicycles and pedelecs manufactured in-house in Germany. The new HUB-e is the anniversary model celebrating VELO DE VILLE’s 60th anniversary and combines urban mobility with a weight starting at 19 kilograms.
Wide comfort tires, an upright riding position, and the new HUB-e drive system ensure a relaxed ride in city traffic.
Whether the HUB-e or the HUB-e XS: Both model variants are optionally available with a belt drive, enabling particularly low-maintenance riding.
The HUB-e is powered by the new Bosch hub motor in combination with the Bosch PowerTube battery with 360 Wh.
