Belgian Cycling Factory (BCF) today announces the launch of a completely new e-bike platform in two frame materials: Kilowatt Alloy and Kilowatt Carbon, both powered by the Avinox e-bike system.

With 160mm front and 150mm rear suspension travel, the Kilowatt is available with a mullet wheel setup and is fully 29-inch compatible via its flip chip. Positioned in mountain biking’s largest travel category globally, the Kilowatt delivers low weight, high power, and the progressive geometry and ride characteristics that are unmistakably Nukeproof.

The range comprises four models, starting at just £3,999/€4,499 and topping out at £7,999/€8,999, delivering Nukeproof’s trademark combination of high performance and exceptional value. Designed for riders who want one bike capable of doing everything, from after-work laps on local trails to bucket-list riding destinations, the Kilowatt strikes the perfect balance for those seeking a single e-MTB that excels everywhere.

At the heart of the range are two all-new frames that have been intentionally designed to look strikingly similar. The alloy model has been developed with a new manufacturing partner whose heritage lies in producing intricate castings for the automotive industry. More recently, they have produced precision components for some of the biggest names in cycling, but together we have pushed that expertise even further by developing tube shapes that closely mimic the appearance of our moulded carbon frame.

Both frames feature Nukeproof’s signature single piece suspension linkage, which differentiates them from many traditional four-bar suspension designs, while increasing stiffness between the front and rear triangles. Internal cable routing has also been carefully engineered using a tube-in-tube system to ensure servicing remains simple and mechanic-friendly.

Once the frame characteristics and travel category had been established, selecting the motor and battery system became the next priority. Avinox was the logical choice due to its outstanding blend of power, weight, range and compact packaging – and let’s not gloss over the overwhelming demand from both riders and dealers. We wanted the Kilowatt to look and ride more like our analogue bikes than any e-bike we have previously produced, and the Avinox system—with its relatively compact battery options—allowed us to achieve exactly that. Final weight on our Carbon Factory model is just 22.2kg (medium size, without pedals) with a ‘no compromise’ e-bike worthy spec’.

We selected durable, high-quality parts specifically suited to e-MTB riding for Kilowatt, including SRAM Maven brakes across three models and DB4’s on the opening price Kilowatt Alloy Comp. We have DT Swiss e-bike wheelsets on the carbon models, and Schwalbe gravity-ready tyres throughout the range, with radial construction featured on the carbon models.

All models feature a non-removable 800Wh battery, with the exception of the small frame, which uses a 600Wh battery due to downtube length constraints. The decision to use non-removable batteries was based on our own experience of riding e-bikes and our desire to achieve the cleanest possible frame design.

Every model is powered by the Avinox M2S motor, except the opening price Kilowatt Alloy Comp, which features the Avinox M2 at just £3,999/€4,499, with Nukeproof remaining committed to delivering some of the best-riding bikes on the planet at a price more riders can afford.

Both carbon models are supplied as standard with a 12A fast charger.

Tom Bugler, Product Manager for the Alloy Kilowatt, said:

“After the Tracker Hardtail range and the Tracker FS Enduro bike, this is my third project for the brand since I started in August 2025, so we’re working at lightning pace to bring bikes worthy of the Nukeproof name while delivering the value we know riders are looking for.

We wanted to make sure the alloy frame on the Kilowatt was our best alloy frame yet, bringing together all the best of our existing alloy frames (Scout, Reactor, Mega etc) and also bring in some of the features we’ve been doing in carbon. We worked with our manufacturing partner to create a super intricate one-piece investment-cast motor bracket which is the heart of the frame and combines neat cable management features on the interior with a sleek exterior shape. The shape of the motor bracket ties the tubes together beautifully and closely mimics the seamless look of the carbon frame.

The hydroformed tubes are intricately designed and both the seatstays and chainstays are asymmetric, which whilst increasing design time and tooling cost, makes a better bike. Key components such as the suspension linkage and frame hardware are shared across both platforms; we are thrilled with the outcome and are confident this will be one of the best riding alloy bikes Nukeproof has ever produced

Steve Jamison, Product Manager for the Carbon Kilowatt, added:

“Both frames feature Nukeproof’s signature four-bar Horst Link suspension system, a platform that has undergone continuous refinement for more than a decade. The result is a proven suspension design that delivers exceptional small-bump sensitivity and traction at the start of the travel, while providing the mid-stroke support and composure demanded by hard-charging, aggressive riders.

Designed to combine the confidence-inspiring ride characteristics of the Mega with the versatile, adventure-ready nature of the Reactor, the Kilowatt is equally at home carving technical alpine singletrack as it is picking lines down gnarly enduro terrain. Blending playful handling with serious capability, it is a true do-it-all machine—built to encourage exploration and maximise fun wherever and however you choose to ride.”

We built this bike for ourselves—for where we live and how we ride—and fortunately that’s representative of a huge percentage of mountain bikers around the world. These bikes aren’t just about the characteristics of the Avinox system; they’re about how we’ve integrated it into a geometry and handling package that delivers an incredible ride’.

Clive Gosling, Brand Director, said:

“The team absolutely nailed the Kilowatt. It looks more like an analogue bike, delivers all the power riders could want and, crucially, has the handling and ride feel to help deliver that power in a platform tuned for the motor.

We’ve burned all of midnight oil on this project, but being a relatively small team allows us to react quickly and build the bikes we genuinely want to ride ourselves. We’re no different to our customers and this was the bike we all wanted as our ‘next bike’.

Any product manager can build expensive high-end e-bikes, but creating great bikes at the price points we’ve achieved wasn’t easy. We’ll continue to build on that philosophy because delivering outstanding performance at exceptional value has always been a core Nukeproof brand value.”
