LondonCycleSport.com was created earlier this year and supplies riders with results and notification of road races, time trials and cyclo-cross races.
As well as the existing cash sponsorship from Trek, the site is also supported with a contribution from Bikepark, the London IBD.
Bikepark’s Phil Cavell said:
“We started helping John financially because he is doing a great service for cyclists in the London area, this is our patch and we have long realised that the current cycling media are fairly appalling at supporting grass roots racing in the UK.
"It’s up to commercial enterprises to get behind the sport that provides them with a living. John works tirelessly on the site and with the support of unpaid contributors it is a stunning achievement and something he should be highly commended for. As racers you can find out about local races instantly and read reports on races that interest you, something that the print media has rarely managed to do.”
LondonCyclesport.com also carries information on race sponsorship, prize funds, support of youth groups and cycling initiatives.
"We are sure that bicycle businesses will realise that not only does this site put back into the sport, it also has huge potential marketing clout," said Mullineaux.
