Peter Teschner may be based at the other side of the world, but he has produced stunningly painted frames for top European riders and produces all the Team Issue frames for the US-based Fuji USA/Advanced Sports team. He's now scaling down the Ti Sports brand of frame he produces for the Australian market and concentrating on just the Teschner brand, both for the domestic market and internationally.

Top Aussie custom framebuilder to expand into production frames

For ten years Teschner has manufactured and marketed frames under the Ti Sports label in Australia. 18 months ago the Teschner brand started to be run alongside the Ti Sports brand, with the Teschner brand being a high end product aimed at the European and US markets.

"This has been an extremely successful strategy with product differentiation being promoted through the use and integration of high end carbon frame materials, Easton and Dedacciai lightweight aluminium tubing, integrated head tubes, all carbon forks, European-style paint schemes and all airbrushed decals," said Teschner.

"We have also worked in conjunction with Easton to produce some new tubing profiles, "S" bend Scandium chain stays that have and will remain exclusively for use with our top end models."

Ti Sports frames, on the other hand, have adhesive-backed clear coated vinyls, water transfers, standard type paint schemes, and alloy steerer carbon forks.

Teschner is to expand his frame sales via Australian bike shops and then produce production frames for international consumption.

Teschner has worked with the Australian Institute of Sport for seven years, helping to develop a time-trial frame, and track and MTB product too.

In the UK, Teschner frames are available from Posh Bikes.
