Marketing Lead

In 1968, Nicholas Thake, aged just 16, founded his first business, NJ Thake Cycles, where he bought, sold and repaired used bikes from his home. Opening his first bike shop in 1972 in Sawbridgeworth, the business developed into a family of more than 20 stores, adopting the name “The Cycle King”; in the early 80’s. Hawk Cycles bicycle factory was acquired in 1994, continuing to manufacture quality, value cycles until 2010 then merging with Cycle King to create the online and physical retailer you see today.

This new role is to tactically drive forward the Cycle King & Hawk Cycles marketing activity: retail communication, digital presentation, promotional campaigns, point of sale / merchandise, events and social media.

This is a hands-on, varied role perfect for a multi-skilled marketing creative wanting to gain fantastic experience in a growing business. You’ll be responsible for delivering highly engaging social media content, eye-catching graphics, impactful point of sale and merchandise, engaging digital content, memorable events, and consistent brand messaging across all channels. You’ll work closely with out-sourced marketing resources and retail teams to help stories stand out.

You will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of Cycle King & Hawk Cycles brand across all platforms and channels is consistent and on brand, according to the brand guidelines.

Brand Representative – Mobile Security

The role is field based, and primarily involves visiting retailers within an agreed territory to promote the ABUS brand and its products, always acting and achieving on opportunities that exist.

Responsibilities for this role include building strong relationships with retailers to promote the ABUS brand and its values. Supporting ABUS Distribution partners. Educating retailers on ABUS products. Identifying opportunity to use merchandising within retailers. Identifying opportunity to broaden the ABUS range within retailers. Range planing and merchandise to improve customer experience and sales. Growing the ABUS retail network and identify key store opportunities. Plan and host events with retailers to support and promote ABUS products. Plan and host visits to our German and Italian facilities. Support brand and retailer marketing. Manage samples and product seeding. Prepare monthly and quarterly market reports. Liaise with internal functions to ensure customer queries are resolved in a timely manner. Proactively develop personal product knowledge and product applications using resources available. Handle challenging customer conversations effectively to avoid conflict.

Service Operations Associate II

This individual will be responsible for overseeing and improving our receiving, shipping, and inventory management operations. This key role ensures accurate inventory records, optimises warehouse processes, and works cross-functionally with teams to enhance logistics. Your expertise will contribute to operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and adherence to company standards.

Senior Marketing Manager

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the Marketing Team within the UK and ROI markets. The purpose of the role is to plan and implement industry-leading and commercially effective consumer and retail marketing activities, ensuring that the Company’s brands and products are in demand in the market, enabling the company to meet its growth and profitability targets.

Day to Day, you’ll;

  1. Lead the ZyroFisher marketing strategy for consumers, retailers and brand partners. With ultimate responsibility for all consumer communication, PR, events, ambassadors and go-to-market marketing materials.
  2. Design and deliver the consumer marketing plan, working closely with the brand management team to deliver against the goals and expectations of the brand. Ensure that physical and digital components work seamlessly together.
  3. Day-to-day management of the Marketing Team, including graphic design, ensuring adherence to deadlines as well as delivering clarity and consistency in translation of our partner’s regional business plans into an executable go-to-market strategy.
  4. Manage the overall marketing team priorities by brand, working with the Head of Brand and Head of Own Brand to ensure delivery of Brand and ZyroFisher expectations within resource and budget available.
  5. Manage the overall ZyroFisher marketing budget, ensuring the plans are delivered on time and within budget. Develop the annual marketing budget, working with the Head of Brand and Head of Own Brand to ensure that plans are developed in line with each brand’s P&L and rolling marketing strategy.
  6. Own the ZyroFisher brand, maintain and develop corporate image and reputation. Protect and develop the company’s brands via the company website, social media and suitable PR activities and intellectual property management.
  7. Work closely with sales and brand management to implement go-to-market plans that align with marketing plans and the sales campaign calendar.
  8. Plan and manage marketing resources according to agreed budgets and ensure seasonal calendars are adhered to while maintaining administration of the relevant reporting and planning systems.
  9. Support the marketing team to select, brief and manage external agencies and resources.
  10. Provide regular, ongoing review and analysis of the effectiveness of the individual brand marketing initiatives of the portfolio against clearly defined milestones and key performance indicators.
