Bi monthly title to hit stores September 30th

The Bicycle Buyer-update

Factory Media has given further details of The Bicycle Buyer, the new bi-monthly magazine title due to launch in Autumn 2008.

The Bicycle Buyer is designed to offer the growing cycle sector a smart guide when buying bicycles, clothing and accessories, focusing on entry level cyclists and enthusiasts.

A number of cycle brands and distributors have confirmed campaigns, including Hot Wheels, Ridgeback, Genesis, Specialized, Trek, Colnago, Cannondale, Raleigh and Scott.

Editorial staff Ian Osborne and Clive Gosling will run the magazines editorial.

The magazine will be available to stores from September 30th and a stand has been booked at the Earl’s Court show, Cycle 2008. Free copies will be handed to those in the trade.

The Bicycle Buyer will have a wide distribution through WHSmiths, Borders Books, Londis, Costcutter, Baileys News, independent newsagents and all key cycle stores in the UK.

A retail package for independent bike stores has been developed to help smaller bike stores drive customers into store and help them select the appropriate bike. The package includes an advertisement in The Bicycle Buyer for two issues, a presence on the website, copies of the magazine delivered for free plus a counter display unit.
