Team Movistar’s switch to Canyon is confirmed

As expected Team Movistar riders will now be equipped with Canyon bikes. The German bike brand, founded in 1996, takes the place of Pinarello. Team Movistar is a Spanish team.

Canyon founder and CEO Roman Arnold said: “We want to build the best bike in the world. We are therefore extremely proud that in 2014 we have the chance to supply yet another top ranked team. Eusebio Unzué’s Movistar Team is the perfect match for us, they had an outstanding year in 2013, that means they are currently placed first in the UCI WorldTour Rankings."

Team Movistar will be equipped with Canyon’s Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 TEAM MOV, the Aeroad CF 9.0 TEAM MOV, and the Speedmax CF 9.0 TEAM MOV. The bikes will be fitted with Campagnolo wheels and Super Record EPS groupsets, Fizik saddles, Canyon handlebars and stems, and Continental tyres.

Canyon was founded in 1985 as Radsport Arnold, with the Canyon brand name added in 1996. Radsport Arnold was renamed as Canyon Bicycles in 2001.
