Showers Pass of Portland, Oregon, has introduced a Spring Classic Cycling Jacket, as worn by Team Katusha. The Spring Classic is light, form-fitting, waterproof and breathable.
The fit is more like a jersey than a jacket, said company president Kyle Ranson.
“During the 2014 Tour of Italy, Team Katusha wore prototypes of the Spring Classic Jacket in the snow," said Ranson. “Maintaining a steady core temperature in nasty weather can make or break a race. The new Spring Classic Jacket offers unparalleled protection from the elements in a lightweight, waterproof-breathable package, that also happens to fit like a glove.”
The jacket offers large core vents and a back “tailpipe vent” below the neck for flow-through ventilation. Weighing 300 grams in size medium, the jacket fits in its own back pocket. It features 3M Scotchlite reflective piping down the front zipper, back and a reflective heat transfer Showers Pass logo down the sides.
