Maintenance-free tyres selling in Korea and Japan at present

Tannus reveals ‘world changing’ air-less tyre

Solid tyre brand Tannus believes it has cracked the air-less tyre product.

Showcasing its range at ISPO Bike in Munich, Tannus said its ‘world changing product’ is for daily use rather than performance cycling, but is highly convenient, making use of a lightweight, highly durable and temperature resistant material.

In development since 2003, Tannus tyres are assembled using a clincher type rim with a ‘Locking Pin System’. The tyres come in a wealth of colours, from black and white to lemon, pink and aqua marine.

So far the brand is only selling in Korea and Japan, selling in the region of 8,500 per year in the latter.

A German distributor is testing the product at present – as is folding bike brand Brompton in the UK.

Tannus has recently switched to a new factory with capabilities of producing three million of the tyres per year.

The GURU Jazz Walia is looking for Distributors all round Europe (including UK).
