Following a deal extension, Superior will produce Škoda’s Grand Tour carbon road bike for use in the car firm’s extensive cycling-related marketing activities, including at the Tour de France.
Škoda has also prolonged its contract with Tour de France organiser ASO – which requested a limited edition version of the Grand Tour carbon bike.
Škoda and Superior, both Czech Republic-based, have worked alongside each other since 2009. Superior produces the bikes in northern Moravia and takes care of development, production and management.
The Grand Tour bikes will be first used by VIP clients on the ŠKODA hospitality programme at Le Tour 2014 and then made available for purchase on ‘selected showrooms’ from autumn. The hospitality programme includes riding with a previous Tour winner, helicopter ride over the event, VIP access to the departure village, participation in a team car, a two night stay in a luxury hotel, a meet and greet at the departure village, a road side picnic and more. The hospitality package is exclusive to Superior dealerships.
For any information on Superior bikes or the VIP hospitality package call Alex or Jason in the Chicken Cyclekit sales office on 01525 381347.
