Ride it Away retail finance now ”worth £50m to UK cycle industry”

The Association of Cycle Traders has revamped its Ride it Away retail finance point of sale, adding that the retail finance package is ‘proven’ to increase the value of sales.

Highlighting a vast gap in sale value between its dealers using Ride it Away and those that do not, the ACT state that finance based sales now average a value of £1,754, compared to £595 without.

Founded in 2010, Ride it Away sales this year broke records, with a peak of £1.275 million worth of sales in one week’s trading across 650 dealers. The ACT now believe the scheme to be worth £50 million to the industry.

The website – rideitaway.co.uk – gives consumers the chance to work out how much they can afford on finance and find their local dealer, whilst giving retailers the opportunity to promote their shop to the these customers.
