Heavy snowfall across the UK has sent parts of the country into travel chaos, affecting bike distributors and shops country-wide.
BikeBiz has learned that courier firms, including the likes of UPS, have cancelled all deliveries today (Monday), leaving many bike dealers without stock deliveries.
With snow expected to fall over the UK for the rest of the day and beyond, distribution difficulties may be set to last much further into the week – potentially leaving dealers short of stock.
The snow has been the heaviest the South-East has seen in 18 years, according to the BBC, with serious disruption felt across London and the Home Counties. The North East is predicted to see up to 12 inches of snow, while the Met Office has issued an extreme weather warning for England, Wales and areas of Eastern Scotland.
