Free breakfast boosts numbers of pedal powered riders for Cornwall-based distributor

Silverfish staff saddle up for National Cycle to Work Day

Today is Cycle to Work Day, which a number of cycle retailers and businesses around the country have been getting behind.

Naturally, as a cycle and P&A distributor, Silverfish UK is brimming with keen staff who regularly make their daily commute to work by bicycle. Nevertheless, Silverfish decided to offer the incentive of free breakfast for National Cycle to Work Day. According to the firm, the number opting for human power over horse power swelled as riders join thousands across the country taking part in the scheme.

“We’re lucky to be based in a beautiful part of the country here in Cornwall but the offer of a free breakfast definitely helped more people grab their bikes over car keys today,” said Silverfish marketing manager Pete Drew.

National cycle to work day aims to encourage more people to tackle their daily commute by switching to pedal power for at least one day of the year. Blessed with a large number of keen, active cyclists Silverfish UK provides facilities for all riders who cycle to work with everything from a workshop and showers to secure cycle storage being available.
