New Bamboo-Merino Henley shirts from Showers Pass of Portland, Oregon.

Showers Pass launch bamboo-merino hybrid base layers

Showers Pass of Portland, Oregon, has introduced a bamboo-merino hybrid base layer. The long-sleeved Henley shirt has fine and soft bamboo fibres on the inside of the garment, and Merino wool fibres on the face to provide warmth and prevent odours. These two natural fibers are knitted together to form Showers Pass’ exclusive Bamboo-Merino Cool Tech fabric.

“We set out to create the perfect long sleeve casual mid-layer to complement our jackets for cold weather commuting," said Stephanie Leikas-Homolya, marketing director of Showers Pass. “While we love many of the natural benefits of Merino wool, we wanted something softer next-to-skin. Bamboo fibres offer the same moisture wicking benefits as wool but our bamboo knit is ridiculously soft against the skin.”

Showers Pass produces cycling clothing for racers, commuters, messengers and everyday cyclists.
