Security brand Seatylock has launched the Foldylock Forever on Kickstarter.
The new foldable bike lock, which had a funding goal of $10,000, has already seen over $47,000 pledged.
“Seatylock is proud to present its toughest lock to date: The Foldylock Forever is a premium folding lock with a Gold Sold Secure rating, the highest security level commercially available,” said the Kickstarter campaign page. “We took everything that made The Foldylock the #1 choice for cyclists and reinforced every aspect – from strength to sleekness – to give you the most resilient lock we’ve ever assembled.
“Addressing the needs of urban cyclists head-on, The Foldylock Forever was crafted to elegantly balance versatility and convenience without compromising on security. Not a single inch.”
According to Seatylock, the Foldylock Forever’s advantages are: patented ultra protected rivets, friction mechanism for smooth operation, rattle elimination for a silent ride, automotive standard cylinder, auto-shutter mechanism, easy to carry, and reliable, durable and simple to use.
Founder Michael Shenkerman said: “The Foldylock Forever was created to address the desire of all city cyclists: having a versatile and convenient locking solution, while keeping security at its peak.”
“For the past 10 years we’ve been mastering the craftsmanship of making folding locks,” said chief designer Shahaf Levavi. “We learned how to make them durable and usable. With this solid formula, we felt ready to set new boundaries and created Foldylock Forever. Naturally, it has all the birthmarks of the Foldylock Family and much more. Implementing patented mechanisms and pushing production technologies to the limit was essential in creating the strongest folding lock ever made.”
Seatylock was founded in 2008, aiming to set new standards in the bike protection industry. The company designs and manufactures all of its products in-house and said it is focused on innovation, security and design, with each of its products a unique patent.
Seatylock is distributed in the UK by i-ride.
