Despite the name, Scott USA is not a US-brand. Not in bikes, anyway. It has been a Swiss/European brand for some number of years, and Scott bikes have not been available in the US. Last year, BikeBiz.com said this was a shame because Scott's Genius platform was a world-beater yet not accessible to an American audience. This is about to change, and heading up the US operation is Scott Montgomery, the ousted VP of marketing at Cannondale, son of Cannondale founder Joe Montgomery.

Scott, meet Scott

Scott’s Genius MTB suspension platform was revealed to rave reviews at last year’s Eurobike.

Whilst the US market is awash with niche bike brands, the re-entry of Scott is long overdue, say industry analysts.

Scott Montgomery was the first hire.
