Competitive US parts brand now available to UK retailers

Sampson coming to the UK

Samson Sports is making its way to the UK, announcing plans to take its business way past its traditional US territory.

Initially, it shall be just the components line that Sampson will be exporting to the UK, though Eric Sampson confirmed to BikeBiz that a bike range will come within a year or two.

Offering groupsets to challenge the mainstream brands, Sampson’s top of the line Ultegra competitive groupset is expected to retail for £1,200 after shipping costs are taken into account.

At just 1942 grams, the Stratics SL group is light, fast and affordable with a nod to strength too. The SL group features the new SL cranks which are just 645 grams a set with bottom bracket.

Speaking on his return from the Handmade show in Va, Sampson said: "We had a great response to the products at the show this week, it was the first time a lot of the press and consumers have seen the new gear up close – the response was flattering!"
