Saddleback has announced the launch of fork servicing with the opening of the UK’s only official Cannondale Lefty and HeadShok Service Centre.
As the UK home of Cannondale, the distributors’ trained mechanics now offer fully authorised servicing for Lefty and HeadShok forks, using genuine parts and approved service procedures to keep forks performing exactly as they should.
Servicing Lefty
- Cannondale retailers can contact Saddleback – via phone or email – to book a customer’s fork in for service work/
- Customers can also book their fork in for service via the Saddleback website.
As per brand guidelines, Cannondale recommends a service every 100–200 hours of riding or annually – whichever comes first.
100 Hours or Annually, whichever first:
- Air Chamber seals replaced
- Damper inspected
- All parts cleaned and greased
- Fork reassembled, and settings reapplied
Cost: From £120
If any additional parts are needed, we will contact you with costs before proceeding.
200 Hour service = all items in the 100-hour service, as well as:
- Telescope completely disassembled
- Damper fully serviced
- Lower collar and wiper seal replaced
- New needle bearings and races used in reassembly
If any additional parts are needed, we will contact you with costs before proceeding.
Cost: From £225
Workflow for fork servicing
- Make a service request via a Cannondale-approved retailer or via the Saddleback online form.
- Saddleback will provide a returns reference, lead-time and an address to send the fork to.
- Retailer or customer posts fork
- Saddleback send retailer or customer a confirmation of receipt notification.
- Saddleback notify retailer or customer that the fork is being worked on, and also communicates if any more information or parts are needed.
- Once the service is complete, Saddleback will either call the customer for payment, or provide invoicing information to the retail.
- The fork is then posted back to the retailer or customer.
Saddleback became the UK distributor for Cannondale in December of 2024, with the Yate-based team hosting its first Cannondale and Focus dealer showcase in February of 2025.
At the launch event, BikeBiz sat down with Andy Wigmore to talk about the arrival of Cannondale and Focus, exploring what this would mean for the distributor and the brands here in the UK.
