Rutland Cycling has announced further growth of its store network with the acquisition of Giant Store Newport Pagnell, in Milton Keynes.
It will be Rutland’s third Giant Store, and will be followed in the summer by the opening of a new Rutland Cycling multi-brand store in the city centre, at the re-developed Lloyds Court shopping mall.
The take-over of the Giant Store Newport Pagnell follows the retirement of local businessman Roy Pink. The Giant Brand Store will be stocking the latest 2019 models from Giant and Liv, covering all disciplines, and the store also has a dedicated e-bike department. All products can be ordered to click and collect online, and the Giant Store also features a full Cytech workshop, for servicing and repairs of all bike brands and models.
David Middlemiss, chief executive of Rutland Cycling, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of our third Giant Store at Newport Pagnell, to be joined shortly by a brand-new Rutland Cycling store in Milton Keynes city centre. We welcome all cyclists to our stores, from beginners to performance athletes – our friendly, expert team are all cyclists themselves and are here to welcome you with plenty of advice and guidance. For us, it’s about much more than just selling bicycles – we’re here to help people achieve their cycling goals, turn their dreams into reality.
“The growth of our business over the years shows there is a great demand for cycling products, from bikes through to clothing and accessories and it is great to see so many people involved in cycling for enjoyment, commuting and exercise. We believe passionately that to get more people making cycling part of their lives, you’ve got to make it convenient and easy. So, in our Rutland Cycling stores, you can hire a bike or e-bike, get your own bike repaired, borrow a courtesy bike while your bike is serviced, and pick up cycle clothing, spares and accessories.
“Our new Milton Keynes stores will provide the quality products and service that Rutland Cycling is renowned for, with an exceptional team of qualified staff, and a strong ethos of a friendly, family-run business.”
Rutland Cycling Milton Keynes, located at the Lloyds Court shopping mall, will open this summer.
