Brands converge on Nottingham to launch latest two additions to the range

Red or Dead and Raleigh heads to the streets for photoshoot

A street photoshoot featuring Nottingham’s best dressed helped launch the latest range of fashionable bikes designed by Raleigh in collaboration with iconic fashion house Red or Dead.

Using Facebook and Twitter, a team of talent spotters searched for women fitting the Red or Dead fashion-savvy style to take part in the roaming photoshoot.

Red or Dead and Raleigh brought along two bikes making their debut in this year’s range, Starstruck, a Raleigh Shopper-style bike in red with matching shopping bag; and Cuckoo, a classic step-through bike with a design inspired by vintage lace patterns.

"The latest collaboration with Red or Dead has produced our best ever fashion bikes which are the best of both worlds; combining the quirky, cutting edge Red or Dead look with the classic ride-ability of a Raleigh," said Raleigh product manager Jayne Bakes, who had worked on the bikes.

"We were delighted with the reception for the Starstuck and Cuckoo, which continue our tradition of fashion bikes which are as fun to ride as they are incredible to look at.

"The photoshoot was a huge success and we’re delighted our home city lived up to its reputation as one of the most fashion-conscious places in the country."

Red or Dead brand president Julia Massey added: “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Raleigh again with such a show stopping SS13 collection. Red or Dead are renowned for their iconic, colourful and witty prints, so creating a range of bikes with a helping hand from the experts at Raleigh makes this collaboration a match made in cycling heaven.”

The bikes also took part in the stylish Anjou Velo Vintage ride in France alongside a number of journalists from the national media.
