Rapha has launched new women’s bibshorts, with three new chamois pads designed ‘specifically for women’.
The brand said the pads have been three years in the making all with a ‘single goal’, to make its women’s bibshorts "the most comfortable in the world".
“Our sole aim with this project was to improve the experience of riding for women. After five rounds of wear testing over 15,000km on the road, we’ve not just raised the standard but completely reset it,” said Maria Olsson, design manager.
The Souplesse detachable bibshorts are a "redefinition of the women’s bib short", with a self-centring magnetic clasp and a redesigned race chamois, made for "comfort when riding hard".
The Explore Cargo bibshorts are Rapha’s "ultimate adventure bib short", with water-resistant shadow fabric to "weather the storms", as well as pockets. The Core Cargo shorts are the "standard-setting everyday" bibshorts, and incorportate cargo pockets.
