Bike PressCamp opened tonight in Deer Valley, Utah. Almost a third of the editors present are from outside the US.

PressCamp Utah goes international

PressCamp, the annual American schmooze-fest for editors, has opened in Deer Valley resort, in Utah. 22 editors have been flown in from across America and eight have been flown in from outside, including from France, Spain and Australia.

This new focus on international editors was a request from the mostly US brands present at last year’s PressCamp, said event co-founder Lance Camisasca.

Orbea of Spain helped PressCamp with the editors to invite from Spain and France.

Boardman Bikes of the UK is at PressCamp for the first time, seeking to expand operations in the US.

The select expo – which involves one-on-one condo-based morning appointments with the editors and afternoon riding opportunies via the resort ski lifts – has been running for five years, four of which have been held in Deer Valley. Clifbar and Camelbak have been at every PressCamp.

To follow the tweets from the editors present click on the hashtag #DVpresscamp. The condo visits start Tuesday morning.
