Playboy X-Treme team signs bike deal with US micro-brand

Sorry, no pix are available but the Flash-rich website of team founder Danelle Folta contains plenty of photographic material to prove that beauty and brawn can mix (and that’s just the bikes).

Ellsworth Handcrafted Bicycles, Inc. sold about 2000 frames last year, and 200+ full bikes. It was founded by Tony Ellsworth eleven years ago. The company designs its bikes inhouse and sub-contracts the manufacture to aerospace factories.

The Playboy X-Treme team was founded in 1998 by Danelle Folta, see link below.

“Ellsworth, like Playboy, represents the best in the market: fun and adventure,” said Folta, adding, graphically, “Ellsworth is a perfect fit for the Playboy X-Treme Team.”

Tony Ellsworth said: “We’re impressed with Danelle’s never say die attitude toward sports, health, and fitness, and we’re proud to equip the Playboy X-Treme Team with our tough, lightweight Isis full-suspension bikes.”

The Isis features Ellsworth’s exclusive Linearly Progressive Shock Motion Ratio technology to "provide a consistent, compliant ride over any terrain and throughout the complete range of suspension travel."
