What better poster for women’s cycling could there be than press-darling Pippa Middleton, sister of the recently-wed Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, taking part in the past weekend’s Highland Cross Duathlon?
Finishing the race in five hours and eight minutes, Middleton was just 40 minutes of the women’s winner, Rhona Buchan’s, time.
The Highland Cross Duathlon pits competitors against a 20-mile run from Kintail on the west coast of Scotland through the scenic Glen Affric, prior to a further 30-mile bike ride.
